Overview

The Reviewflowz Chrome Extension ("Extension") helps users generate professional replies to online reviews. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect your privacy.

Data We Collect

1. Anonymous User Identifier (UUID)

When you first use the Extension, we generate a random unique identifier (UUID) stored locally in your browser. This identifier:

  • Is completely anonymous and cannot identify you personally
  • Is used to track usage limits and prevent abuse
  • Is sent with each API request

2. Review Content

When you request a reply suggestion, we process:

  • The review text you submit
  • The star rating (if available)
  • The reviewer name (if available)

This content is sent to our servers and processed by AI to generate a reply. We do not permanently store review content. It is used only for the immediate purpose of generating your reply. We also do not store the reply suggested or posted.

3. Usage Statistics

We track basic usage counts:

  • Number of replies generated per UUID
  • Timestamp of API requests

4. Account Linking (Optional)

If you are an existing Reviewflowz customer or free trial user, your Extension can be automatically linked to your Reviewflowz account. This happens when you visit app.reviewflowz.com while logged in. Account linking:

  • Associates your UUID with your Reviewflowz account
  • Enables your custom AI agent settings for reply generation
  • Adjusts your daily reply limits based on your subscription plan

If you are not a Reviewflowz customer, your Extension works anonymously with the default AI settings and standard free tier limits. You can create an account at reviewflowz.com to access additional features.

How We Use Your Data

  • Generate replies: Review content is processed by AI to create suggested replies
  • Enforce usage limits: UUIDs help us manage free tier limits
  • Improve the service: Aggregated, anonymized usage data helps us improve the Extension

Data Storage and Retention

  • UUID: Stored locally in your browser and in our database indefinitely
  • Review content: Not stored permanently; used only during request processing
  • Usage statistics: Retained for service operation and analytics, up to 90 days after last activity.

Data Security

We protect your data using:

  • HTTPS encryption for all API communications
  • Secure cloud infrastructure
  • Limited data retention practices

Third-Party Services

The Extension uses AI services to generate reply suggestions. Review content may be sent to one or more of the following providers depending on your account configuration:

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Delete your data: Uninstalling the Extension removes your local UUID. Contact us to delete server-side data. We only store your UUID, and usage statistics (# of replies posted today, ever, and last reply posted datetime). We automatically delete usage statistics for users that have not generated a reply in over 90 days.
  • Access your data: Contact us to request information about data associated with your UUID.
  • Opt out: You can use the Extension without providing any personal information. Account linking is optional.

Children's Privacy

The Extension is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Significant changes will be communicated through the Extension or our website.
